
A rainy start to Labor Day weekend in Maine is expected to clear out by early evening Saturday, giving way to a much nicer stretch of weather through Monday, according to the National Weather Service.
Scattered showers are expected to diminish Saturday evening, with some patchy fog possible overnight. Highs Saturday will reach the low 70s.
Sunday looks partly to mostly sunny across the state, with highs near 70 in central and northern Maine and around 74 in southern Maine.
On Monday, sunny skies will prevail, with highs near 77 in the north and around 80 in southern Maine.
The next significant chance of rain isn’t expected until Wednesday night into Thursday.
