CAPE ELIZABETH —The organizers of TD Beach to Beacon 10K announced that Carissa Galloway will be among the announcers at the 2026 race.
Galloway is a globally recognized race announcer, registered dietitian, published author, podcaster, TV host and mom. Her expertise spans nutrition, fitness, television hosting and more.
For over 20 years, Galloway has been a pioneer for women’s equality in the sports world. She made history as the first female announcer for runDisney and, in 2021, she became a crucial part of the IRONMAN triathlon announcing team, serving as the first North American female lead announcer and the inaugural American female announcer at the IRONMAN World Championships. She has announced many prestigious races, including the 2024 Olympic Marathon Team Trials, Des Moines Marathon, Falmouth Road Race, OUC Half Marathon and many other notable road races and triathlons. She is also a nine-time marathoner.
“It’s such an honor to be part of this iconic event, especially because race founder Joanie [Benoit Samuelson] is such an inspiration for women achieving firsts in their fields,” Galloway said. “Having diverse representation in sports events, whether on the road or in the announcer’s booth, is so important, and I’m excited to help bring that to the TD Beach to Beacon 10K.”
Beyond the racecourse, Galloway is a registered dietitian who has appeared on over 25 top morning shows and many networks, blending her passion for nutrition with her on-camera experience, delivering evidence-based, approachable nutrition messages that yield long-term results. The Florida Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics named her “Media Dietitian of the Year.”
Galloway will be joined this year by longtime TD Beach to Beacon 10K announcers Toni Reavis and Andy Schachat, whose expert commentary will bring every exciting moment of the race to life.
