A Standish woman has been arrested in the death of a former partner earlier this month.
Lynn Perkins, 37, was charged with murder, according to Shannon Moss, a spokesperson for the Maine Department of Public Safety.
Perkins allegedly shot 49-year-old Matthew Hamilton inside a River Road home, where his body was found about 6:50 p.m. on Oct. 3.
The Maine medical examiner’s office ruled his death a homicide.
Perkins, who had been in a relationship with Hamilton, was arrested about 12:40 p.m. Thursday. She was taken to the Cumberland County Jail in Portland, where she was being held without bail.
Hamilton’s death remains under investigation.
