LifeFlight of Maine helped rescue crews save a hiker who collapsed on Pine Mountain in New Hampshire on Saturday morning.
According to Gorham Fire and EMS, they received a call that a 70-year-old man was unconscious and not breathing more than 1,000 feet up the trail.
Gorham rescue crews responded and called in Androscoggin Valley Search and Rescue to help carry him out.
Meanwhile, fellow hikers retrieved an AED from the nearby Horton Center and began CPR, reviving the man before rescuers arrived.
Because of his condition, LifeFlight was called in. He was responsive when transported by helicopter to the hospital, officials said.
