
The Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office seized firearms and more than 85 grams of drugs while arresting a Carmel man on outstanding warrants Friday. Two others at the home were also charged.
Deputies went to the West Court home of Casey Corbett, 37, about 3:30 p.m. to arrest him on drug trafficking-related warrants issued by the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency, the sheriff’s office said in a release.
While there, deputies obtained a search warrant and seized more than 76 gross grams of suspected fentanyl, 11 gross grams of methamphetamine, pills, three handguns and two rifles.
Misty Corbett, 37, also of Carmel, was arrested at the home and charged with obstructing government administration and refusing to submit to arrest or detention.
Deputies said that at the jail she was observed trying to swallow drugs, leading to additional charges.
In addition to the warrants, Casey Corbett was charged with aggravated trafficking of schedule W drugs and possession of a firearm by a prohibited person.
Misty Corbett was also charged with aggravated trafficking of schedule W drugs, trafficking in prison contraband, and falsifying physical evidence.
Corey Corbett, 46, was also at the home and arrested on a warrant for probation revocation.
The sheriff’s office said the investigation is ongoing with assistance from the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency.
