President Donald Trump blasted U.S. Sen. Susan Collins in a post on his Truth Social platform late Thursday night.
That comes as the Maine Republican is preparing to defend her seat in next year’s midterms.
In the Thursday night post, Trump called on Republicans to “vote the exact opposite” of Collins.
“Generally speaking, you can’t go wrong,” Trump wrote.
Collins has recently bucked the president’s agenda on a number of issues, including his so-called big beautiful bill and seating his former lawyer as a federal judge.
During his first term, Collins was among the Republicans who stopped Trump’s promised repeal of the Affordable Care Act in 2017 and voted against seating Amy Coney Barrett on the U.S. Supreme Court.
Except in the case of the Affordable Care Act repeal, Republicans had the votes needed to pass those measures.
